Support for Zoomdata 4.9 ended on September 25, 2021, and Composer 5.9 entered the Passive Support phase. Our Passive Support release receives only critical patches and security updates until its end-of-life date. We describe critical patches in the Passive Support Release Notes page at the discretion of Product Management. Security updates are not applicable to the third-party dependencies. If you are using Composer 4.9, you should contact Sales and upgrade to the most current LTS release. We no longer provide documentation for any Composer or Zoomdata products prior to version 5.9. Contact Customer Support if you need content for an unsupported release.

Source Creation and Source Creation API Updates | Composer now supports the migration of sources created in Composer v7.8 and earlier to the the updated source creation workflow. As a part of this migration and update process, the source creation API available on Composer v7.8 and earlier is no longer available for source creation. Before attempting to upgrade to Composer v7.9, please contact your support representative to ascertain which version of Composer is an appropriate upgrade. |
Source Creation Updates - Data Access | Composer now supports permissions to allow source data access. Existing users with READ permission on a source are given DATA ACCESS permission for that source on upgrade to v7.9. Users with DATA ACCESS can create new visuals, and grant DATA ACCESS to other users. This new permission also applies to related API endpoints. See API Updates. |
Calculation Editor Changes | Composer now displays data in Preview automatically for custom metrics, even when the Pivot Table is disabled for your source. You no longer need to enable the visual. |
